Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen p. 335

This was a very touching story about a young man who joins a circus after losing everything. He sees and encounters things he never imagined when he was just a spectator. He is the circus veterinarian and cares for the animals very much. His boss is a strange character whose wife Jacob falls in love with. Gruen has true talent and is very good with detail.

This is a story that I could hardly put down. I did not expect it to be good and I thought I would lose interest quickly but it was the exact opposite. The ending was so good and satisfying which is something I can't normally say about a book. Gruen really pulls you into the book, I could really see the things she was describing.
