I enjoyed this book although I'm not sure I should have. It was so weird and, at times, hard to read. I can understand why it's so popular because things that are weird usually are. This book makes me curious about Emma Donoghue's life and what her other novels are like.

Room by Emma Donoghue p. 321
Jack and"Ma" are in a room, not in a house in a room. Just a room. Jack is five and tells the story. This story is disturbing from beginning to end. The things they have to do to survive and stay healthy are sad, creative, and hard to believe sometimes. This boy is deprived of so many things, and without giving anything away, they are things that will be difficult to learn and understand.
