You know this is a futuristic book because it comes with its own QR codes! (they look something like this for you poor initiated folks). Nick's codes go to his website where he has additional information, videos, sources, etc. This is a great idea but I couldn't figure a way to get credit for reading that additional stuff so I skipped it. All kidding aside, I did enjoy this book. The first chapter starts out with how well the porn industry has adapted to technological change but I'm a bigger sucker for the chapter about how PREVIOUS technology was viewed when it was new. My personal favorite were the scientists who, after the invention of trains, thought that human would suffocate at speeds of 20 m.p.h. and that bones would fall apart at certain speeds (in fairness, this may still be found to be true...we just haven't gone that fast yet). Anyway, this book is cool because it tries to reassure that the Internet and computers aren't going to ruin life for humans (at least not until we get to the robot wars). We will adapt and be fine and our bones won't fall apart...just yet.
