Unearathly by Cynthia Hand 435 pages

Clara Gardner is not your typical teenage girl with typical teenage girl problems. She is like, part-Angel (mom is an angel; dad is ...gone). Being an angel does come with some baggage. She has a purpose revealed through a reoccuring dream in which she saves a young studly guy. After she figures out where (reading the license plate that appears in the dream), her family makes a major move to Jackson, Wyoming. Her younger brother, Jeffrey is pretty bummed about the move. On the first day of school, she discovers that the guy she is supposed to save is Christian, the school it-guy and of course, has a girl friend, Kay. Kay understandably tries to hold onto her guy and is rather mean to Clara. Clara makes a couple of friends, Angela (who surprise! turns out to be an angel, too) and Wendy (who, even better, has a hot twin brother, Tucker. This book to me, was a time passer, not a life changer.
