Harvey Pekar changed the world of comics when he created American Splendor. This book continues in his slice of life, social commentary style. A lot of the book is character sketches of people he met on his travels. The rest chronicles his trip to a book festival in West Virginia and his experiences there presented in his curmudgeonly style. This was Pekar's last book before his death in 2010. Included is an homage to the author written by Anthony Bourdain, who featured Pekar in the Cleveland episode of his television show "No Reservations."
