Prom & Prejudice by Elizabeth Eulberg 227 pages
Hasn't Pride and Prejudice been done to death? Well, make room for this one accessible for younger readers. With a contemporary setting, teens are not obsessed with marriage, but getting a date for prom. Lizzie Bennett, is a bit of a social outcast since she is a scholarship student at the prestigious Longbourn Academy. Best friend Jane seems to have met her date, Charles Bingley, but Lizzie is put off by his friend, Will Darcy. Obviously, you know where this is going, but the fun is the journey and who knows it may inspire the young reader to step up and read the original.
