The secrets of people who never get sick

The Secrets of people who never get sick/Gene Stone 212 pgs.

This is an interesting little book wherein the author talked to people who don't ever get sick and asked them their secret...the secrets are pretty amazing and some are completely contradictory (avoid germs vs. expose yourself to many germs and get used to them), some seem like a lot of common sense about health (eat well, exercise, live a stress free life, get enough sleep), and some are just amazing (eat dirt, dip your head in a hydrogen peroxide solution every day, take cold showers), some are things you can't really do yourself (live in a "Blue Zone", inherit good genes). After telling the person's individual story, the author gives some facts on each practice and some include a little history on the subject. When you consider that medicine is still a "practice" and many historically commonly believed "facts" have now been completely debunked, the author seems to have a point in the end that in 20-30 years, many ideas that are not commonly held will seem crazy, who knows if something here will turn out to be the wave of the future. - Christa
