A Part by Wendell Berry, Poetry, 91 pages.
Berry's beautiful, spare, earthy style masks the fact that I can count 91 pages of poetry as a book. We can learn much from poetry, our spirits are nourished, and our horizons are broadened by playful verse; complex thoughts stated briefly and all that, but we can also use art, beauty, and truth to pad our numbers.
Sure, some of the poems, like Berry's tanslation of Pierre de Ronsard's La Salade take up three pages, but there is a whole section of two line poems, one per page. Berry is the man.
