The Darwin Awards Countdown to Extinction by Wendy Northcutt 310 pgs.I thought this would be a funny interlude to the 2 other depressing books I'm reading about the state of the environment and death. It is pretty funny but by the end, I was tired of reading about stupid people. On the other hand, nothing was included here that I have ever done (and lived to tell the story). None of the stories even sound like something I would have tried even in my more foolish states. At least I've got that going for me.
In addition to the individual stories, each chapter has a well written science piece explaining something about the following incidents. Those parts made the book worth reading. - Christa
