ohhh come on? How else could he end it? In order for the epic to have proper scale, you have to look at it from a vantage point of generations. Its the only way for it to really make sense. Plus it all ties in together so well. We learn that the story was as much about the incredible person that Yorick is as much as it was about the devistation of all males.
