Batman: Bruce Wayne, Fugitive, vol 2 by Ed Brubaker, et al.; graphic novel; 176 pages
When he was falsely accused of murder, Batman abandoned his identity as Bruce Wayne, as well as his family of friends and allies. But after a talk with the detective who worked his parents' murder case, Batman decides to renew his investigation, and attempt to clear his own name.
For a Batman story, Bats was absent for large portions of this volume, leaving the stage to Alfred, Bruce Wayne's bodyguard, Sasha, and the detectives investigating Wayne's case. When he finally does surface, though, things start happening fast. A seemingly random story about drug-running in Gotham turns into a break in the search for the real killer, and things snowball from there. This is a fast-moving volume, but the ending left me wondering what was going to happen in volume three....
