The Iron Witch by Karen Mahoney 299 pages

Another teen fantasy. Donna Underwood is home schooled by her aunt since she had a meltdown and destroyed a locker after being teased by a cruel classmate. Her father was killed when trying to save her from a fey. She survived but her arms were severely injured and later rebuilt through alchemy. They work okay, but look like they have complex tattoos and she usually tries to hide them in gloves. Her mother lives in a mental institution and pretty much her own world. Donna meets her match at a party, Xan who has magical issues of his own. She also has a good friend, Navin who is abducted by evil wood elves. Lots of action and a little romance.
