The Throwback Special by Chris Bachelder, 213 pages.A book that is about a group of guys who get together every year to recreate the 1985 game between the New York Giants and the Washington Redskins in which Joe Thiesmann's leg was shattered shouldn't be this beautiful, moving and insightful. Bachelder does a tremendous job with his characters and the result is a book that is well worth the read.
