Why Not Me? by Mindy Kaling, 228 pages
This short memoir covers Kaling's adult life, focusing on her writing and acting career, as well as her adventures in dating, dieting, friendship, and trying to feel comfortable in Hollywood, where nobody really looks like her. It's candid, refreshing, and funny. I listened to the audiobook (read by the author), which offered additional humor simply through Kaling's delivery of the words. I liked it, and I'll probably be listening to her first book, Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?, before too long.
