Mommy Knows Worst: Highlights from the Golden Age of Bad Parenting Advice by James Lileks 176 pp.
Two others have already blogged about this book here and here. This book had me laughing out loud. I second Christa's comment about page 168. That one made me laugh the hardest. The main problem was reading this on my lunch break--I feared choking. It brought back memories of my mother filling the kitchen with steam while sterilizing bottles for my son (I was recuperating from surgery) until I sent my husband out for the disposable kind. And I survived riding in that metal "car seat" just like the one in the book. It's a wonder those of us born pre-1960 made it to adulthood.
