The Best Advice I Ever Got: lessons from extraordinary lives 262 pages

I listened to this as an audiobook read by the author and other five readers. Using the multiple readers tricks the listener into thinking they are actually hearing all the famous people quoted by Couric. Couric has been most fortunate in meeting world leaders, and celebrities. Couric has also faced much tragedy, the deaths of her husband and sister. She does come across as a person with gumption, who has earned her place in the limelight. Some of the advice are mere tidbits, while other pieces are longer, perhaps taken from more than one commencement speech. This actually would be a good gift for a graduating student and the proceeds of the book sales go to a worthy charity.
