And Furthermore by Judi Dench 268 pages

The celebrated actress "chats" about her illustrious life and roles on stage and the silver screen. Her manner is rather self-deprecating. She seems quite down to earth and not puffed up with all her awards. She kinds of skips over her childhood, but admits that she wanted to become an actress from an early age. She is most generous with her praise for fellow actors, and directors. I listened to the audiobook narrated by her friend, Samantha Bond. Bond's voice was pitch perfect. I felt like "Judi" was just across the table from me sharing her stories. Although she has performed for television and movies, Dench's heart is in the theater. To think that most of the world thinks of her as James Bond's boss!!! Enjoy this with a cup of tea and a bite of scone.
