Fables: 1001 Nights of Snowfall by Bill Willingham, 140 pages
This standalone book, which is part-graphic novel and part-prose, follows Snow White as she tells the back stories of many of the featured characters in Willingham's Fables series. Each back story is drawn by a different illustrator, giving each one its own feel. While it's not part of the actual Fables series, I'd argue that this is definitely something every Fables reader should pick up to add extra dimensions to the series. Plus it's a lot of fun.
