This second installment in the saga of Digger the Wombat covers chapters 3 & 4 of the webcomic. Digger is recovering from the injury she sustained at the end of Vol. 1. The hag caring for her is not happy when Digger insists on going out for a walk. Digger meets up with the Shadowchild, Ed the hyena, and a sinister "veiled one" from the previous volume. There are also encounters with vampire squash (yes, the vegetable), a hyena who wants to eat her, and flying rat messengers. After the discovery that a fossil in Digger's possession is of some importance, the Ganesh statue sends her on a mission to explore the tunnel she used to arrive at the temple. She discovers a dead-but-not-quite god who is being kept a little bit alive by strange creatures and a message left by a wombat from long ago. The book is appended with "An Illustrated Guide to Moles" which explains the different types and uses for the moles which are used by wombats as work animals and pets.
