This is a very funny but pretty accurate graphic novel version of the philosophies of Plato, Nietzsche, Bodhidharma, Ayn Rand, Thomas Jefferson, Saint Augustine, Freud, Carl Jung, and Joseph Campbell. I don't consider Freud to be a philospher but I suppose his ideas were necessary to juxtapose those of Jung. In between the essential ideas of each of these great thinkers are plenty of snarky comments, amusing asides, and humorous illustrations. Included is the aforementioned spat between Freud and Jung, Ayn Rand's temper tantrums, Jefferson's struggles between his beliefs and his lifestyle, St. Augustine's wild side, and more. I would recommend this for anyone studying philosophy and for those who know nothing about it. Now I have to locate volumes 2 & 3. And who knew Alan Greenspan was a follower of Rand?
