Probably not a surprise to you but there are no librarians featured in this book. I don't know why our contributions to fashion are so often over looked. Well, just paging through this book will make you wonder why we aren't all devoted to fashion. So much beauty and amazing photos. I like the writing too as Hal Rubenstein makes obvious that a beautiful dress and a beautiful woman is not always a winning combination but the RIGHT dress and RIGHT woman is needed to be unforgettable.
Some of the stories about the history of the dress and the situations worn are fabulous. Don't miss the one entitle "Revenge Dress".
