The Sandburg Connection by Mark de Castrique 290 pgs.
This is the third in a series of Sam Blackman mysteries. I enjoy the character and his partner in the detective agency Nakayla Robertson. The fun repartee the partners have makes these books good for audio "reading". Each mystery has some sort of literary connection and this one involves Carl Sandburg whose home is a national historic site near Hendersonville, North Carolina. Sam and Nakayla are hired by an insurance company to follow a professor with an insurance claim that that they hope to dispute. When the professor dies in a fall on a mountain, Sam and Nakayla stay on the job to try to find out what really happened. I've read all three books in this series (so far) so will have to branch out to other titles by the author.
