Voyager-Srikanth Reddy (127 pages)
Fun fact: the voice that we sent into space on the Voyager 2 to greet extraterrestrial life is the voice of Kurt Waldheim, Secretary General of the UN and former SS Officer. In his amazing book of poetry, Reddy does three erasures of Waldheim's memoir in order to reveal the man he really was. For those of you not familiar with erasures, they are poetic or narrative works created by erasing parts of an original work, thereby liberating the text to make something different. The poetry is definitely a bit dense. I might even say that this is a poetry book for people who read poetry. But really great writing, really unique, and the idea behind it is just so awesome!
