One Word

One Word: Contemporary writers on the words they love or loathe/molly McQuade (ed). 261 pgs.

This is a collection of essays from many authors talking about the one word they love, a few talk about a word they loathe but the love outweighs the loathe. Some of the essays are fabulous and some not quite so exciting. This is a book that I like reading slowly...read and essay and then think about it. Of course that ends up taking a lot of time. But really, maybe that is the only thing we really have.
