The Rosie Project / Graeme Simsion 295 pp.
I doubt I have anything to add to Linda and Christa's favorable reviews, except to echo Christa's point that while the reader may be able to see the ending coming from afar, it won't matter - all the fun is in getting there. A sweet, funny and authentic story about a man who looks for romance with a scientific survey and finds exactly the wrong woman.

This is obviously a different plot, but seems to have similar elements to John Green's An Abundance of Katherines, which concerns a teenage math prodigy attempting to create a functional theorem to accurately predict the progress (and ultimate success or demise) of a relationship. It's awesome, and if The Rosie Project is half as fun, I know I'll love it. This one's going on my to-read list!
