236 Pounds of Class Vice President: A Memoir of Teenage Insecurity, Obesity, and Virginity by Jason Mulgrew, 200 pages.
Jason Mulgrew writes a hilarious memoir about growing up and going to school in Philadelphia. As he lets on in the title, his weight was an issue. And though he had no problem talking to girls, he counted many of the young women he found most attractive among his friends. His problem in that regard was that he was too close, and that he made some unfortunate choices sartorially (choosing to wear a long fur cloak is something he still can't explain).
He tells great stories about his neighborhood, Philadelphia food, and his family. The stories about his father, alone, make this book worth reading.
