Sara Benincasa went through a period of pretty serious agoraphobia. It got so bad at one point, she didn't even want to leave her room. That lead to a lot of bowls full of pee because the bathroom was too scary. Anyone who is willing to write so honestly about this "less than perfect" time in her life gets kudos from me. Sara is quite fabulous, telling about her recovery and triumphant return to society including accepting a summer job as an assistant for a questionable character, teaching horny highschoolers in Texas and finding her way to the comedy stage.
Sara was recently in the news after penning a perfect reply to a question about why she got fat. I look forward to reading more by Sara.
