This sequel to Hush, Hush is not a vampire book. It is instead the story of 16 year old Nora Grey who has the typical up and down romantic relationship with a not so conventional boy friend, a fallen angel, Patch. When he is not with her, he seems to be spending a lot of time with her archenemy, Marcie Millar. There is a lot of mystery around her father's death. Her mother seems to be spending a lot of time out of town. At least, she has her bestest friend, Vee to help her; unfortunately Vee is busy with her new boyfriend, Rixon, who just happens to be Patch's best pal. So, it does seem just a little like Betty and Veronica seasoned with a huge battle between angels and demons.
