The Ice Princess by Camilla Lackberg-393 pages, Mystery
A biographer finds the body of a childhood friend, in this highly touted Swedish mystery. As she tries to solve the mystery, she deals with other issues in the small town she has recently returned to. Most of the time the story is adequately suspensful and engaging, but its characters veers too frequently toward the clumsy and wooden, and the surprises seem either unsurprising or a bit forced and not necessarily a true part of the story.-Patrick
