Saturn Run

Saturn run / John Sanford & Ctein 486 pgs.

Alien activity is accidentally noticed near Saturn.  The U.S. and China enter a race to see who can get there first.  Both missions have problems and didn't have time for proper planning.  This book follows the U. S. mission closely and tells about the lead up and trip to Saturn.  They beat the Chinese by a couple of weeks and discover that the site is just a depot that provides information to whomever discovers it.  The Chinese ship is badly damaged during the trip and needs a rescue.  Should the Americans risk it?

This is my kind of science fiction.  Set in the future where technology is more advanced yet people and situations are very familiar.  Lots of fun.
