Crocodile on the Sandbank/Elizabeth Peters 262 pgs.
Amelia Peabody is a feminist for her time. She has some money, lots of interests and can't imagine being tied down by marriage. She hires a companion for a trip to Egypt and then the adventures begin. I listened to the audio book of this title and enjoyed the reader and the way she depicted Amelia's sharp tongue. Amelia's companion falls in love and they an excavation then are haunted by a mummy. Level headed Amelia refuses to be scared until she is next to the mummy. This book won't change your life but it was good fun to listen.
