A very short remembrance of Harris, Manguso’s friend, who
after a troubled life, managed to walk out of a mental facility and throw
himself in front of a train. The author,
herself, has suffered from mental problems, including a condition caused by
psychotropic drugs that she feels contributed to his suicide. A very personal book, perhaps better kept
that way. 111 pp.
