The Reason I Jump by Naoki Higashida 978-0-8129-94865 135 pages

How weird that this happened to be the next book on my shelf to read after The Rosie Project. This translation of a book by a 13 year old boy is amazing. He answers a series of questions posed by outsiders about how an autistic mind thinks, feels and responds to the outside world. His insights are so crystallized, humble and generous. This should be required reading for special ed teachers.
