What happens when we die? This interesting book thinks we go to another place and live again, much as we had on earth but with fewer complications and no health problems, etc. Eventually you fade away from this next life when the last living person who knows you passes away. When an epidemic hits and travels quickly through the world, this next life city becomes smaller and smaller. It turns out the epidemic has wiped everyone our except for Laura Byrd who was trapped at a research station in Antarctica. Now she is trying to survive and find her way back to civilization...something that no longer exists. In the next life, people are figuring out what they have in common, all know Laura. They hope she figures out how to survive but it can only last so long, right?
A cool book with an interesting premise.
