Hansel & Gretel by Neil Gaiman and Lorenzo Mattotti, 53 pages
Gaiman and Mattotti offer up a their retelling of the classic fairy tale in this highly-illustrated novel (I wouldn't call it a graphic novel exactly, since the images don't tell the story so much as they complement the text). Really, it's a much more straight-forward retelling that I'd expected, and while the black and white images help drive home the panic that the titular children were experiencing, the artwork is not really anything to write home about. An OK book all in all.
