Passenger to Frankfurt / Agatha Christie 272 pgs.
Agatha Christie IS one of the greats. I've read many more of her mysteries featuring Hercule Poirot or Miss Marple but loved this spy novel featuring low level diplomat Sir Stafford Nye. Nye hasn't really climbed the ladder due to his trouble with taking things seriously. However, after a routine diplomatic mission, he is singled out by a woman who tells him she is in great danger but he can save her by taking a leap of faith and allowing her to impersonate him to escape. He goes for it and then is pulled into a world of high intrigue and a loose partnership with this woman who is know as an effective agent.
Great fun.
