Last night in the OR

Last night in the OR: a transplant surgeon's odyssey / Bud Shaw 291 pgs.

A memoir of a transplant surgeon that does as much to make you be afraid to doctors as making you confident.  Somehow, Shaw makes it seem like you can't be successful as a transplant surgeon unless you can say awake for days at a time.  There are also some stories of bathing in the blood of your patient that are not things you should read while eating.

Overall this tells an interesting story even if it jumps around a bit.  It is hard to imagine the emotions involved with transplants and Shaw tells some stories that allow you to imagine the feelings.
