Big Sky / Kate Atkinson, 391 pgs.
Jackson Brodie is back! He has relocated to a quiet seaside village and is doing mostly boring PI work following cheating spouses, etc. He is spending time with his teenage son and dog that he shares with his ex, Julia. As with any Atkinson novel, the story introduces lots of other people and grows organically. The quiet seaside village has more going on that meets the eye. As we meet other characters, we start to suspect all is not legit. Brodie sort of stumbles onto the bigger story and we meet up with a few people from past books. I don't want to include spoilers here but this is a wonderful addition to the series and I read it in one day then was sad when I was done. How long must we wait for our next book Ms. Atkinson?
