Sourdough

Sourdough / Robin Sloan,  read by Therese Plummer 259 pgs.

A quirky book that features Lois, a controls system programmer working at a robots company in San Francisco who becomes a baker of sourdough loafs.  Lois is gifted a sourdough starter that changes her life.  She ends up programming the robot arm that she works on to mix the dough.  So many parts of this book are comic but possible and then there are a couple of impossible parts.  Lois is an easy person to like and to root for.  The high tech dream job might be killing her but the bread saves her.  I learned a lot about robots, farmer's markets, making bread and the Lois club.  I gave the author credit for inventing the Lois club and then found out it is real. Now I want a club too.  The audio version is great.
