Cats I've Known: On Love, Loss, and Being Graciously Ignored by Katie Haegele, 191 pages
On the face of it, this book is a collection of short essays on the cats that Haegele has spent time with over the years, and I suppose you could read it like that. But really, this is a memoir of a cat lover, discussing cats, yes, but revealing so much more about herself than we ever learn about the cats. It's a creative and wonderful way to present a memoir. I loved it.
