Our May selection for the Classics book group; it seems to have been the group's favorite. A family spends the summer at the Isle of Skye in 1910, welcoming a wide group of friends. The novel looks at one day of that family's life, then revisits the family ten years later. Beautiful, almost poetic writing that demands attention and effort which is well rewarded.
