The Unwritten, vol. 7: The Wound by Mike Carey & Peter Gross, unpaged (though I'd guess around 144)
How do you talk about a volume in the middle of a dense series like this one? I'll say that, for the most part, this volume leaves Tom/Tommy Taylor alone (he doesn't show up until about 3/4 of the way through the book) and focuses on the hysteria that's built up around him, dropping in occasionally on his vampire sidekick Richie Savoy. This volume is a lot more coherent than its predecessors, which is a relief. This series has such a convoluted plot that this volume, which gives a backstory while also moving the plot forward, is a great addition.
