Robogenesis / Daniel H. Wilson 361 pgs.
The followup to Robopocalypse, a book that still gives me the chills, this book follows the robot war in the last book. Come to find out, the wily robots still have a couple of tricks up their sleeves. Despite "killing" Archos R-14 and thinking it was time to recover, Arayt Shah exists and has a new plan to eradicate and enslave humans.
Speaking of humans, many of our favorites return. Lark Iron Cloud becomes, unfortunately, a robot zombie. Cormac Wallace is trying to survive and get home. Personal favorite Mathilda Perez is still protecting her brother Nolan and showing great leadership skills. Nolan is growing up and also protecting Mathilda. These two are really my favorites.
But back to the story, Daniel Wilson has done a great job making me dread the inevitable march towards machinery taking over. That driverless car seemed like such a great idea until I read his books. Thanks a lot for ruining the future for me with these realistic and horrifying books about the robot uprisings.
