House Reckoning by Mike Lawson, 295 pages.
I read this one mainly, no make that only, because I've read the other four or five in this series. The one before this, House Odds, was a little disappointing, and the new Joe DeMarco thriller follows that path. The same characters, Joe, ex-DIA agent Emma, and former Speaker of the House Mahoney, all act as they have done in previous books. The setting has changed, but everything else seems the same. Decent story, but forgettable.
