David Copperfield, by Charles Dickens

This summer’s UCPL Big Read was a delight. By page two, I'd already laughed out loud (when they’re trying to flog David’s caul without the benefit of EBay or Craigslist) and knew I was in good hands again – I used to, long ago, have a tradition of reading a long Dickens novel during our lake vacation.  I’m pretty sure that at some point David Copperfield was one of them as so much of it was familiar – more than just from the several movie/TV adaptations.   I look forward to the final discussion group next week.  905 pp.
