An epistolary novel of letters and emails among family members and a rabbi. Harry Rosenmerck, a retired cardiologist left New York to become a pig farmer in Israel. His ex-wife is battling a serious illness. He is estranged from his gay son and still thinks of his daughter as a little girl. In addition to family, he communicates Rabbi Moshe who is trying to convince him that pig farmers aren't really welcome in Israel. Comic and moving, this quick read gives some insight into a dysfunctional family who mostly loves each other deeply.
