Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea by Chelsea Handler, 264 pages
In this 2008 book, comedienne Handler offers up essays looking back on funny, embarrassing, and idiotic things she's done in her life, from her brief (like, overnight) time in jail after getting a DUI to her decision to expand her dating horizons by hooking up with a redhead to going on a vacation in Costa Rica with her used-car-salesman father. The essays are full of the salty language and blue comedy that are Handler's hallmarks, so fans of her humor will enjoy this one. I particularly recommend the audiobook, which is read by the author, bringing additional humor to her hilarious tales.
