Nicole was two when she was told her father was dead. She believed this was true until a psychic told her she was alive which triggered nagging doubts. While navigating rocky relationships and her fear of coming out as a lesbian to her mother (her sister was disowned for that), Nicole searches for the truth about her dad. She even calls the radio talk show host, Dr. Laura (Schlessinger) for advice. (Ick!) Eventually she finds out at least the partial truth about her father. This is a good read, well done, but not spectacular.
