The death of Mrs. Westaway, by Ruth Ware

A leftover from the bag full of books we hauled on vacation with us.  This is a diverting and well-written  suspense novel with a touch of Rebecca (a Mrs. Danvers figure and a missing woman) and a modern take on the old story of a poor young orphan girl who discovers she may, or may not, be the rightful heir to a stately home and fortune.  A perfect summer read and I will look for other titles by this author.  368pp.
