After reading Christa's review of this odd little book, I just had to see it for myself. I don't know which was more horrifying, the outfits themselves or the fact that that I'm pretty sure the pattern for the his & hers granny square vests is in my mom's basement somewhere. And who knew you could crochet science fiction costumes and hazmat suits? I must check my yarn stash to see if I have the proper materials.

This book is part of the Crochet Mystery Series. It's a good mystery read with a recipe and crochet pattern at the end of the book. Molly Pink, a bookstore event coordinator, discovers the joys of crochet while managing the weekly crochet group at the bookstore where she is employed. She has conflict with the group's leader Ellen, which doesn't help when she later discovers her body and becomes a prime suspect. She has to find the killer before she gets the blame. This is the first in a series and includes a beginner's granny square crochet pattern at the end of the book. If you love to crochet, then you can really relate to this one. This is the first crochet mystery series I've come across. Any others out there? I'd love to hear about them.
